Today was a good day for some hill work.
As the training now begins to take place, we are off. I ran a total of 3.3 miles today with my good friend, Val. She is doing amazingly well, in her new and loved sport of running :O) She joined me today for my noon run and it was good. We hit some wind, I loved it, as I am learning how to run in it well...
Soon, I will add in track workouts and tempo runs. It's time to get at it -- May is not that far off and in order to make it, successfully, through 26.2 miles..I am going to put my all into it!!! That means mucho hours of training and mucho dedication. Which, I am more then capable of doing -- just NO excuses!!!
I am currently working on lining up weekend runs with those that will help out and also those that love to run, as I do. I am also willing to drive to them, so that I am able to make it easier on them, since they are willing to put in the mileage with myself.
This upcoming weekend, we go longer, again. Hit 15 and up, up, up from there!!! We are OFF an training!!
Hopefully you are all gaining some motivation somewhere along the lines -- >> If NOT hit me up on Facebook : Lori Juette Yokiel ( Belaen ) or on Twitter @ LoriJBY!! I am here for anyone that needs some motivation!! LOVE To help out in anyway shape or form !!!
Onward, I say -- ONWARD!!

Hello Readers,
Yesterday was a LSR day for us. Jennifer and I headed out for a total of 12 miles. WE pulled it off and it was NOTHING like the 15.5 miles that we ran the previous Sunday!! That day was super windy AND cold, this day was not very windy and warmer.
I am currently working on definition in the upper/lower body and also on my base miles. In Feb, I will begin the serious training for my first full EVER. Which will be in May, '12.
Before the full I am thinking I would like to get in at least 3 to 4 other smaller races and one half. I am debating on where to sign up for one, yet, as I have come to notice that the pocket book needs to support my new passion. And to support it that includes, shoes/clothes/doc appts/accessories/cliff shots/ect.... that's alot if you begin to throw in all the race fees and travel to get to them.
This year, I taken a vow to do my family right as well as my health and work on all of the parts of life, this includes the budget. So, with that being said, I may stay much closer to home for the first part of the year to run. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, just a different turn as to where I was before.
I have also put a goal of gaining that personal trainers certificate out there. This way, I am able to make sure that I have some knowledge behind all that I do as well as begin to help others in something I am now passionate about.
One thing I have learned from running, if not life, all GOOD things come SLOWLY. Wish I knew how to apply that to my entire life, yet, I am learning and learning means you are living. So....
Off to living I go.
Today is a rest day, as tomorrow I begin my 2 workouts/day and will ramp back up to over 1000 cal/per day burnt on top of the norm.
What are your goals??? Are you doing your body good in 2012 ?? We only have one body and one life here on earth ( as far as I know ) and we should probably treat ourselves top notch!!!
Onward, dear readers, ONWARD!!

Today was a rest day from running, though I did not waste it :O)
I was able to do some great core work and I am beginning to up my weights on the lifting exercises :O) If I keep this up, I am going to need to purchase a weight bench .. ha !! The 50 lbs is just not enough anymore. Funniest part about that is: I started out with dumbbells that weighed a total of 10lbs. Means that in the few years that I have been exercising daily, my strength has increased!! Guess that will happen, if you persevere. Feels pretty good, when I think about where I started an where I am today. Only to keep going ... and to better myself more now.
I also was able to get in a nice belly dance workout. Let me tell you, if you do not think that belly dancing is a work out -- you are WRONG!! I have utilized this video now twice, in a few days and all I did was sweat!!! Check out this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCnJUJoalrc
I am integrating this into my weekly routines now...let's what I see changing and if I could possibly dance a lil bit like a belly dancer .. HA !!
Life needs to stay full of FUN, Laughter, and joy. How can one be free IF they do not let themselves lose every so often ???
Keep on Keeping on my dearest readers. If you are not out there changing something about you, what ARE you doing ????
PUSH ON -- PUSH ON!!

Hello Fellow Readers!!!!
What a day !! Holy Hannah -- What a fantastic workout!!!
15.5 miles today, in the 20/25 mph winds, down by Dexter MN ( windmill are in that area ).
I have to say, that without Jennifer and Terrie, I would NOT have made it as far as I did. The last few miles were rough. I did walk some, for I was just plain ole tired. The wind wore me out -- we ran against it halfway.
Worked off around 1700 calories -- so it was worth it. Plus, I am beginning to gain base for the full marathon in May.
I am extremely happy that the ladies stuck by me, I do feel bad for holding them back, but I am grateful that they stuck it out by my side.
If I can do this - so can you !!!
Push on, Push ON!!

Here we are: 2012.
I do believe that some never thought we would ever actually make it this far, yet, we did.
Today was to be a long run day, we decided to go with tomorrow. Today the winds were phenomenal, so we are trying to stay safe! We are aiming for 15 in the AM. Let's see if the MN winds die down and allow us to get it all in.
I opted to not take a rest day and I did an hour an half of exercise. I did my regular strength workout and then added a workout with belly dancing. What a workout that dancing is!!! I sweated like crazy !!!! I believe I will add this to the workouts during the week -- work the core/belly :O) I loved it!!!
Maybe that's something to add to the exercise regimen.... hmmmm
Here's my goals for 2012:
20+ races
A full marathon
PR my 5K, 8K and half times
Workout 5 to 6 days per week burning up to 1000/time
I do hope that you have made your goals and are planning on aiming HIGH for 2012!!
* Shoot for the moon, if you do not make it to the Moon, you will at least make it to amongst the stars *
Push on!!!!

Whoa.... major turn of events for the body!!
Last week, I put in a total of 9 miles !! YES -- 9 !! ERRRR.. here's why:
Christmas Eve night, I seem to have come down with a wee bit of a fever and a sore throat. Thinking nothing would come of it, I went to bed and rested. Next day, CHRISTMAS!, I was out with a fever, chills, sore throat, body aches, you name it !! UGH !! And it didn't completely exit the body until today!!
Yesterday, which would total 4 days of that awful bug, I worked out with my trainer and also was adjusted by the Chiro.
Today -- feel like a million bucks!! Pretty great thing, as I am running with Team RED tonight and then on Sunday I am running 15 miles!!
This year for my first day of the year, I thought I would switch it up a wee bit. Instead of doing a 5K, I am going to run 15 miles with a few ladies who have a BQ under their belt ( BQ = Boston Qualifier ). I am excited to begin running more and more with them. For this year, along with having a total of 20 races set aside for my schedule, I am also completely in my first FULL :O)
This is going to be a GREAT year!! Full of success, joy and happiness!!! I feel it in my bones!!
With all that said, I best get my things all done so that I am able to suit up for tonight and enjoy a night with the Team!! !
ONWARD fellow athletes, ONWARD!!!
* If your DREAMS do NOT scare you, they are NOT BIG enough!!! *

I bet you think I do not exercise anymore the way I blog now a days!! OOOFFTTAA!!! Shame on me !!
Well, this week has been a bit of a trial, getting everything jammed into one week ( Meaning a trip and Christmas ). So needless to say, the exercise fell to the wasteside. UHM .. yep..throw in there a flu and a cold with two sick children. So far this week - one hour of exercise.
It's OK. There has to be a 'down' week. I will get some exercise in this weekend. :O)
Next week we begin more running and back to two to three workouts/day. Have to get in those 1000 cal workouts.
I ran 13.1 miles, to an fro Kasson from Byron, last Sunday and man it was a good run!!! Ran it with two amazing women!! Whom both have qualified for Boston. I am super pumped to run with some new ladies as well as the ones I normally run with !!
Life is amazing with all the running friends and buddies I have gained along the way.
Can not wait to get into some new routines and challenges come the beginning of 2012!!!
